A tailored blazer from lengthily-named dirk bikkembergs womens line, 'dirk bikkembergs hommes pour la femme'. Made for winter 1996, the blazer combines a burgundy, cotton-viscose base fabric with a see-through polyester organza, cut to the same shape and then sewn into the seams of the base layer. This creates an unusual visual effect, almost sheeny in some lights and confusing in others.

The blazer has a three button front placket, notch lapels, padded shoulders, and two flap pockets at the waist. It is cut long through the body and sleeves, with darting used to create shape.
